The Aerial Realm

The Aerial Realm is a land permanently at war. A dimension slightly removed from the normal Surface world, this domain can be reached through a vortex at the summit of the Wolfspur Peaks. Here an explorer will find a land infested by hideous sa-basilisks, vicious shadow dragons, and other monstrous creatures, staunchly opposed by the human knights of the city of Kas—a roc-riding order known as Wind Warriors—and their allies, the warlike cloud giants. Within the cloud giant enclave, more giant warriors maintain the security of their home, while in Kas a company of well-trained guards assists the Wind Warriors in the defense of the city and its inhabitants, reckoned to include some of the wealthiest merchants of the Surface world.

Ancient tomes speak of a place deep within the Aerial Realm where heroes may travel to be tested, seeking to earn great rewards and power. No living explorer will speak of this, but two strange places are mentioned in the lorebooks: the Pentatower and the Rift.
