angers and other explorers who patrol the mountains to the east of Nevrast warn that a clan of trolls has set up a home in this mountain range, and urge all travelers through the mountains to proceed with caution. The reports suggest the clan is a small one, but that these trolls are particularly fond of human, elf and hobbit flesh—raw or cooked.

Noting that these particular trolls are too stupid to be truly evil, a well-meaning cleric once set forth from Nevrast in order to educate and pacify the clan. His half-eaten boots were later found by rangers along the mountain trail.
