he waters collect around the smooth rock edges of Draeval Niar, its surface smooth and clean and black, a pool of liquid onyx. The pool is warm, heated from an underground fissure. Like clockwork, it erupts every sixth hour, hot jets toward the roof of the cavern of Aluhryn and sprinkling the surrounds with its blessings, its regular sounding presenting the only reliable measure of time in the city. There are many stories that good health and the blessings of Suryn fall upon those who bathe in the water, but the sheer power of the eruptions can be deadly. Many drow would gladly take that chance.
