 he western and southern gates of Aluhryn guard the great cavern of the drow city from outside attack. For this reason the gates are protected by formidable fortifications in the form of guard towers. Each tower is defended by the towerguard cadre, advanced warriors who have graduated from the warrior academy Moregladil and for whom assignment to the Guard Towers is the final stage in their training. The captains of these drow guards are always particularly experienced, as they must serve in the double role of trainers and commanders. Without a doubt, however, the most dangerous individual found in each of the Guard Towers is the archmage who holds overall command of the city's defensive perimeter.
