 ales and rumors throughout the Underdark speak of two drow noble Houses—Caer and Ph'thisis—whose slaves have risen in rebellion against their masters. Orcs, trolls, and other savage beasts once enslaved by these two families now fight against them, purportedly under the leadership of a mighty troll warrior. The nobles have been forced to employ drow mercenaries to battle and defeat their own former slave soldiers. Many of the greater Houses of Aluhryn sneer at the thought that a drow noble family could so completely lose control.
